FIL NOIR is part of the Italian sartorial culture, since the history of the brand begins more than a hundred years ago in Certaldo, Tuscany, where the brothers Luca and Lorenzo Manzini took over the manufacture of men's underwear from their father in 1899 and they led it to success. When an earthquake destroyed the region's yarn factories at the beginning of the 20th century, the brothers made a virtue of necessity: they sewed the only remaining thread, it was black.
