Triumph & Disaster

Our friends at Triumph & Disaster have published the below article:

“For Them, By Us” | RJB Design

“For Them, By Us” puts a well-deserved spotlight on the retailers and stockists that have helped build and shape Triumph & Disaster over the past five years. Whether it has been through lending their shelves to our wares, their vanities or showers to our hotel amenities range, or simply allowing their guests to experience our wash in their bathrooms, all of the participants in this series have had an impact on Triumph & Disaster’s success. Here, we take a back seat and allow them to tell their stories of how they got to where they are today.

First up in our series is RJB Design, a store that specialises in premium bespoke men’s suit tailoring, as well as made-to-measure garments and other hand-selected wardrobe and gifting essentials.

New Collection

RJB Design are excited to announce our first range of FLORENTINO.  Establlished in 1963 FLORENTINO offers clothing for men with a clearly defined style that combines modernity and tradtion, which is recognizable for the quality, innovation and excellence in the creation of each of it' products.

A FLORENTINO range in the making.

Attention to detail, thoroughness and diligence are the three cornerstones of FLORENTINO's philosophy.

RJB Design was lucky enough to view the collection in Florence at Pitti Uomo.  Twice a year Florence is transformed into a city where the streets are the catwalk, the home to the world's most fashionable men.  The cafes and bars come alive with talk of fashion.  Pitti show cases the well known, the up and coming, the young, the established, both local and international labels.

Royal Visit

DIMG 6447 cleracut Jade Duke of Cambridge gifturing the recent trip to New Zealand of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their son Prince George, Ronald and Natasha gifted a cut length of the luxurious Dormeuil Jade cloth.

Presented in a hand made Kauri box with a Toki Pounamu from the Ngai Tahu and delivered to Government House in Wellington.

After giving a similiar gift to Prince Charles in 2012, which was worn by the Prince at his birthday celebration in Wellington they thought it only fitting to gift a piece to the Duke.  Using the combination of fine Merino from the Haldon Range in the South Island, West Coast greenstone and the expertise of Dormeuil a fantastic fabric was born.

Ronald and Natasha hope that the Duke of Cambridge enjoys wearing the cloth as much as his father has and they look forward to giving a similar gift to the third generation of Royals when Prince George is old enough.
